Objective In order to further study insect visual afferent nerve fibers projection area in the central complex, determining the relevant contact. Discuss the crickets central complex with different graphic visual cognition of different electrical changes, summarize its electrophysiological characteristics. In order to study the visual recognition system pathway of the Gryllus bimaculatus, provide theoretical basis for the further research. Methods In Observe the morphology of the cerebral ganglion under the microscope, measure its size calculation, positioning the central complex site. Dyeing unilateral optic lobe nerve afferent fibers with 3% Ni Cl2, roughly determine the optic lobe projection distribution of afferent fibers in the brain.Testing the influence of the electrophysiological characteristics with different graphics.Using spss20.0 statistical analysis software and Excel software to the recorded data for statistical analysis. Results The most nerve endings of the optic lobe afferent nerve fiber project to the frontal area, the mushroom body and the central complex, a few nerve branch onto the contralateral optic lobe of the brain nerve fiber channel.Without 3% Ni Cl2 anterograde dyeing of two-spot crickets are seen a clear symmetrical cerebral ganglion, after a 3% Ni Cl2 anterograde dyeing two-spot the brain slice the crickets segment is projected at the protocerebral bridge. With a visual stimulus, the crickets prefer to make continuous single discharge, the strongest response to a triangle( the graphics but color is not same at the same time),the more love to the blue graphics. Conclusion There are three main projection of the optic lobe afferent fibers in the brain of the crickets, slice staining prove optic lobe afferent nerve fibers in the protocerebral bridge has an area of the projection distribution. In different graphics as a visual stimulation electrophysiological experiments, the effect of stimulation of the triangle is relatively good.In the same shape different color graphics as a visual stimulus, blue is relatively better, double spot crickets in giving the stimulus in thevisual figure, the forebrain the central complex area are mainly composed of continuous single discharge.
