Gravity surveying and magnetic prospecting are the main part of geophysical prospecting method. Gravity surveying is widely applied in regional geological survey、 solid mineral exploration and so on. Different geological features correspond to different gravity anomaly, through analysis and inference the anomaly characteristics,Gravity surveying obtains the geological structure. Magnetic prospecting is a geophysical method, through the observation and analysis of magnetic differences between rocks 、 minerals and other detection objects,it researches distribution of mineral resources and geological structure or other detection object. Compared with other methods,it has replaceable role in direct exploration of magnetic mineral.This paper through high-precision gravity and magnetic exploration in one district of Tibet chromite anomaly exploration depending research, consulting, statistics and analysis of the related areas of the previous geological and heavy, magnetic survey data.In the study area,we collect lots of property data, on the basis of statistics and analysis. We collect the gravity and magnetic data in two study area, through such processing as griding、smooth-filtering、poling and Local field extraction, explanation and anomaly-zoning are analyzed. Finally, the results is verified by two precision profile measurements and the model inversion.Based on the full study of magnetic field characteristics,by analyzing the distribution of the magnetic anomaly characteristics and combined with geological data, discussing and studying the general corresponding relationship between chromite anomaly and its surrounding rock of the area. For the next step of finding chromite,it has provided theoretical and technical basis.
