The thesis selects He 8 and Shan 1 section of Su 25 area as the research object, which located in Sulige gas field of north Yishan slope, Ordos basin. Using the theory of petroleum geology, with reference geological subject, and logging, anylysis data, cores and other information, the following conclusions are found:1. The rock type of target intervals He 8 and Shan 1 section of Su 25 area is different because of different sedimentary facies. The rock type of He 8 is arranged in this sequence: lithic quartz sandstone, quartz sandstone, lithic sandstone. The rock type of Shan 1 is arranged in this sequence:lithic quartz sandstone, lithic sandstone, quartz sandstone.2. The late period of He 8 is braided river sedimentary mainly including channel bar and flood plain. The early period of He 8 and Shan 1 is meandering river deposition including channel and flood plain.3. The type of gas pool is lithologic gas pool with low porosity and permeability. The gas pool is characterized by vertical superimposition.4. Sedimentary facies has a strong control effect to distribution of reservoir and physical properties. There is a positive correlation between distribution of reservoir and physical properties and distribution of gas. As a result, the facies has an indirect control effect to distribution of gas pool.
