By means of the 3D modeling for landslide, it can be very intuitive and easy to view and use of geological data. With the use of 3D model, it is more legible and easier to analyse as well as providing effective reference for operational departments. BIM technology today has important applications in areas such as construction, motor industry and so on, which may also benefit the three dimensional geologic modeling itself.This paper is based on BIM modeling software Civil 3D and theories about 3D geologic modeling of algorithms that are involved in the modeling process, taking C#.NET as the project language for program which improve the abilities on 3D geologic modeling in this software. With the complete of a model relies on actual data, the results achieved are as follows:(1) Both measures of three dimensional geologic modeling techniques and features of BIM software have been studied in this paper, and feasible technical way of three dimensional geologic modeling method using BIM software has also been achieved.(2) The program is created for improving the capacity of Civil 3D by C#.NET on Visual Studio. With programming, it successfully adds functions including plugging data points both in and out, generating points in selected areas and spatial interpolation.(3) The program and technical routes are tested and verified by modeling a project that actually exist, and it proves that with programing and appropriate use, BIM technology shall assist deep study on geology.
