Because of hydrological phenomena are usually affected weather, geography and other factors, there is a regional, non-cyclical and repetitive features, in order to study and master the changes of hydrological factors at different times and in different places and in different conditions, it is hydrologic network must be established. Hydrologic network is the basis for water utilities is the strategic layout hydrology work. In order to meet social sectors hydrological data increasing demands, we must continue to carry out scientific research station network deployment to adapt to the different needs of development and change. How economically rational layout timely hydrological station network sites make reasonable adjustments to enable station network in the least number of sites, the best location, get the maximum amount of information, so that the overall function of hydrologic network always maintain optimal state, has been important technical issues hydrology work.Based on a wide literature on the basis of such a class for hydrological station site contains both the known information, but also with unknown information and non-deterministic information, including both common attribute data, but also involve spatial location, spatial relational data ash problem, using research methods gray evaluation method and GIS technology combined. In this paper, the main work done and the findings are:1、The use of GIS spatial analysis provided buffer analysis and spatial overlay analysis and other functions, in accordance with the rules provided by experts to generate site suitability level building site hydrology thematic map, and select a number of points to be selected.2、According to hydrological station location theory and experts recommended the establishment of a three-tier hierarchical index system of hydrological station site. In the treatment of selected points comprehensive evaluation index for difficult to quantify, propose an improved hydrological station site evaluation model using gray theory, the choice of site for multi-stage treatment, scores and more comprehensive evaluation index.3、In the.Net platform using ArcGIS Engine components, the hydrological station site selection evaluation system by programming.4、Using the system for southern Jiangxi Xunwu County station network deployment preliminary practice proved that the model can improve site efficiency siting and location accuracy. For hydrological station site provides a clear, intuitive visualization new method, and has a certain application value.
