Seismic sedimentology is a new subject which combined with and further extracted from geophysics, sedimentology, seismic stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy. Through the comprehensive analysis of the seismic lithology and seismic geomorphology, seismic sedimentology researched the rock lithology, sedimentary formation, sedimentary system and history of the basin filling. After years of development, the subject has been a mature discipline with theoretical basis and normative analysis processes. It analyzed the geological target from the perspective of sedimentology for further evolution research which was conducive to finding the advantage reservoir distribution area.The study area in this article——SL sag is an east-off and west-super sag with an area of only700km2which was located in southern Jizhong depression of bohai bay basin. Due to a complex series of ancient tectonic movement and sedimentary evolution, there is a large amount of lithologic and stratigraphic reservoirs in SL sag, which became one of the very important oil and gas exploration area in Jizhong depression. During the deposition period of lacustrine facies lowstand in the lower part of the Es3of the slope belt in the study area (hereinafter referred to as shasanxia), the whole area widely distributed conglomerate reservoir, which has a very good genetic potential. It was the main purpose section of this study.This paper was based on the theory of geophysical, seismic sedimentology, reservoir sedimentology. It was the comprehensive utilization of the seismic geological data such as core, seismic, drilling. It summarized and analyzed the existing research results and related literature, using the breccia reservoir space distribution rule as a guidance.This paper used the seismic sedimentology thorough key technologies system——90°phase conversion technology, frequency division interpretation technology, strata slice technology, seismic attribute analysis technology, well log constrained wave impedance inversion technology and so on to analysis the distribution characteristics of breccia body in the lacustrine facies lowstand. It gave out a fine description of conglomerate reservoir distribution characteristics, fully implemented the conglomerate reservoir distribution characteristics of Es3.By this research, we not only solved the problems of seismic resolution, also provided a reference for well placement, and validated and enriched the theory of seismic sedimentology further more.
