Research On Resources Estimation Of Tongtianping-gansu Gold Deposit Based On SD Method

Solid mineral resource estimation is one of the important tasks in mineral exploration. Itruns through pre-investigation, survey, detailed investigation, exploration and exploitationphases on mineral exploration. The mainly method of mineral resource estimation in Chinaare traditional geometric method. Traditional reserve calculation method is simple, easy tomaster, especially in the pre-investigation, the early stages of the traditional screeningmethods can quickly estimate the amount of resources based on limited exploration data. Butthis Method is not accurate to express the complex shape of ore body and the reliability of itsestimation results is relatively low.SD reserve estimation method is a new method of estimating reserves in China. Themethod was born in the1980’s, SD method based on the traditional methods and use theadvantages of traditional cross-section method. It overcomes traditional methods inaccuracyand lack of self-test function. SD Method also absorb geostatistics on geological variableswith randomness and regularity of double thinking, It is a more flexible, more reliable methodof calculating reserves than traditional Method.This paper introduces the status of various reserves calculation methods in home andabroad. Then introduce the basic theory of SD reserves calculation method. This paperintroduces fractal dimension, geological structure variables and other basic theory of the SDMethod. This paper mainly researches on the resources and reserve estimation ofTongtianping Gold Deposit. It first introduces the regional geological background andgeological characteristics and ore body characteristics of Tongtianping Gold Deposit. Throughdetailed analysis of those characteristics, this paper selects the traditional method and SDmethod to estimate the resource and reserve of Tongtianping Gold Ore. To better understandand use SD method. Finally, compares the estimation results of these two different methods.The following research ideas for this article:(1) Collected data；Collection trenches Data, drilling data, mine prospecting line profile map, drill column,gallery catalog maps of the gold deposite.(2) Select SD reserves calculation method；(3) Calculate the reserves of deposits；(4) Using traditional methods calculate the reserve； (5) Compares the two results, provide a more accurate calculation of reserves results.
