Study On The Plant Landscape In Guangzhou Haizhu Wetland

For the purpose of improving the city ecological environment, the construction and protection of the wetland park has received increasing attention among the general public. How to make the wetland park achieve a full play of its functions by means of plant configuration is a key point. Based on a case study of Guangzhou Haizhu Wetland Park, this paper makes an investigation on the species composition of plant communities, the species and configuration mode of trees, shrubs and ground cover plants, and the landscape transformation of the original fruit trees. The main results are as follows:1. Guangzhou Haizhu Wetland mainly has159kinds of garden plants, belonging to79families, of which there are50kinds of trees, accounting for31%;47kinds of shrubs,30%;25kinds of ground cover plants,16%;37kinds of wet and aquatic plants,23%;90kinds of flowering plants;20kinds of ornamental fruit plants;65kinds of foliage plants and48kinds of modeling plants. As to the flowering plants, those bloom in spring account for22%, summer41%, autumn22%and winter10%o2. The main configuration mode of plants:tree+shrub+ground cover plant, tree+ground cover plant, tree+shrub+wet and aquatic plant, tree+wet and aquatic plant, shrub+ground cover plant, shrub+wet and aquatic plant, and etc.in Guangzhou Haizhu Wetland. The performance practices of plant configuration is embodied by the means of solitary planting, sheet planting, clump planting, group planting, and etc. reflecting the characteristics of Lingnan Water Village.3. The original ecology of fruit trees is retained to incarnate Lingnan culture, making the scenic landscape of native plants in the scenic region more rustic. Not only the characteristics of plant species in scenic region are demonstrated, but also the heritage of the Lingnan orchard and the graceful splendor and natural beauty of the Lingnan Water Village are reflected. In the meanwhile, with the characteristics of local plant landscape, featured cultural landscape, diverse configuration mode, themed attractions, plural space environment, rich seasonal changes and etc., a bright, fresh and full of changing city wetland landscape is created.4. For the problems of poor growth condition of the original fruit plants in Guangzhou Haizhu Wetland, simplified plant landscape existed in the plant configuration and its performance practices in the scenic region, it is proposed that the transformation of the existing landscape be strengthened, appropriate aquatic species be selected to enrich the aquatic plants of the scenic region, and stable wetland plant communities of diversity be constructed, so as to make the configuration of the wetland park plants optimized and create a wetland environment of diversity.
