Radioactive logging is an important part of logging method and reflects the importantinformation of the stratum. Radioactive logging is still one of the most accurate and commonlyused logging method. X-ray is controllable and easier to get, which makes it have moreadvantages than gamma ray. X-ray is capable of penetrating lots of medium and need notcontact with the medium directly, these advantages provide a way in the three-phase flowmeasurement. In the application of downhole sand body identification, X-ray sand bodyidentification technology provides an evaluation basis for sand-control-sand applicaton.However, both radiation medium recognition method and well logging technology are reliedon the X-ray source’s stability. A stable performance and well-controlled X-ray source is thefoundation of the X-ray applications.This thesis mainly studies the controlling process of low energy X-ray source, especiallyfocuses on controlling of the power supply voltage for X-ray between cathode and anode polesand the filament current power supply. The ambient temperature of the tube, the switching ontime of high voltage power supply circuit and filament power supply circuit, those controllingand monitoring items make X-ray source be able to work better. The switching power supplytechnology is used in the power supply part. The high voltage power and the filament powersupply use different topology structures. PWM method is used to control the output voltage.The feedback controling loop improves the stability of the power supply. To keep the operatorfrom X-ray radiation, remote control method is used to opereate the X-ray. STM32103VEmicro controller is choosed as the main controller chip and RS-485serial communication portinterface is used to connect the upper PC with the microcontroller. The upper controllingsoftware in PC is developed in labVIEW environment.On the basis of above researches, the overall system has been debugged and tested. Theaccuracy and stability of remote control of the ray are verified. The ray’s remote control effectis good, which has made a solid foundation for later application.
