Hydrological monitoring is of great significance for The development and utilization of water resources, flood control and drought relief,etc. To obtain a perfect measuring accuracy, the current- meter must be tested and identified after a long time use. However, the current domestic current meter calibration system are mostly obsolete equipment, with a low Calibration precision and automation level. Thus, In this paper,We will transform the current meter calibration system, Entrusted by the Hydrology bureau.The Current meter verification system consists of three parts, The speed control system, Signal acquisition system and Output of results. We designed The speed control system and got the Output of results, and also we did a part of Signal acquisition system. During The speed control system, We determine to improve the The Current meter verification system in using the servo control technology, by comparing different transmission control systems and Analyzing the using status quo at home and abroad. By using the Fieldbus technology, we got a distributed system and we designed the HMI.For the Output of results, We finished the data processing, storage and output, Through to the acquisition of current meter signal, and the record of the speed signal. And completed data dynamic exchange between WINCC and MATLAB through the OPC technology.Through the correction of current-meter calibration system by a standard instruments. The current-meter calibration system have already reached the first-rate technical standard of the current-meter calibration water trough. In this paper, the calibration system owns the characteristics of high precision measurement and Reliable, And it is in the leading position of the trade in our country.
