With the speeding up of urbanization process, the scale of the city is expanding, a lot of negative effects are gradually revealed. On the one hand, urban land covers an area of limited, the urban population is increasing and the demand for living area is more and more big, on the other hand, with the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, car ownership is also increasing, the problems of urban traffic congestion are getting more and more serious. Urban transport and the layout of land use are closely linked to each other, the important part of the layout of land use is the planning of residential land and the choice of residence is one of the decisive factors that affect the traffic. Family choices the best place to live by means of the transportation, not only alleviate the traffic pressure but also alleviate the tension of urban living area. Therefore, in this paper, according to the influencing factors of the residential area, the relationship between the choice of residence and transportation is studied. And the limit line policy to the community influence factors and the traffic disturbance are discussed. Then the fuzzy nonlinear programming model of residential choice is established. At the same time, the corresponding algorithm is given, and the practicability of the model is verified by examples. The main contents of this paper are as follows:In the first chapter, the research background of traffic and land use is introduced.Research status at home and abroad of the traffic and land use are also discussed. In addition, the main research contents of the paper are introduced.In the second chapter, the definitions of the location theory, the center of gravity sorting method, its operation method and the traffic flow are introduced, which lay a foundation for theoretical research and practical application in subsequent chapters.In the third chapter, by means of fuzzy method, the factors that affect the choice of residence and the relationship between the factors and the choice of residence are discussed combined with negotiation mechanism. According to the influencing factors of each district, the comprehensive evaluation indexes of each district are obtained through modeling. On the basis of the establishment of the housing valuation model, the housing price utility is obtained by the negotiation mechanism. Through impedance of different traffic modes, the general transportation cost of family is obtained, and combined with the four factors of evaluation index, and housing price utility, the fuzzy nonlinear programming model is established which is to find the best district for family.Meanwhile, the practicability of the model is verified by an example.In the last chapter, the summary of this paper is given. Meanwhile, the problems for further study are put forward.
