Study On Petroleum Reserves Growth Trend And Exploration Potential In Gaoyou Depression

For a sustained and steady development of petroleum exploration in Jiangsu Oil Field, carry the potential oil and gas resources and proved reserves growth trend study in Gaoyou depression is very important for the overall planning of exploration.This project evaluates the potential oil and gas resources of Gaoyou depression with statistics and analogy method; calculates the total amount of resources 3.6344×108t. Jiangsu Oil Field has found proved reserves 16550×104t, the total amount of remaining resources are still 19794×104t. The potential resources are considerable. According to the study of the distribution of the remaining resources that the largest remaining resources in the middle petroleum system has 9601 × 104 t, then is the top petroleum system and floor petroleum system. The oil and gas exploration potential of the top and the floor petroleum systems in Weizhuang- Matouzhuang- Majiazui- lianmengzhuang migration and accumulation unit is the greatest. Based on the exploration history, the project analyzes the exploration techniques in different stages of exploration, exploration targets, exploration core guiding ideology, exploration investment, exploration results and proved reserves composition per year. The project also summarizes the basic law of exploration development and increase in reserves. There are three periods in reserves growth: fluctuations slow growth period, rapid growth period and stable growth period, currently in a stable growth period. The proved reserves proportion of low – extra low abundance reserves, middle and deep-seated reserves and structurallithological reserves gradual increased. The proved reserves are mainly derived from the controlled reserves, prognostic reserves, traps resources directly upgrade etc.By using Weng cycle model and Gompertz curve model to predict the total proven reserves is 28179.3-33706.6×104t, remaining resources 11629.3-17156.6×104t. But the reserves discovered will slow down; proved reserves each year will show a downward trend. The next five years, Gaoyou depression proven reserves will increase 3648.8-3563.6×104t; the average annual proved reserves will be729.8-712.7×104t. By analyzing the prospects of exploration, the project proposes the exploration development strategy target next five years.
