The Applied Study Of Kansei Engineering In The Home Textile Design

With the overall arrival of global information age, the development of industry andmarkets is pushed to a unprecedented humanized peak. The human society has entered into"The perceptual demand times" which pays attention to the "people-oriented". Manycompanies, such as the United States apple, Samsung Electronics, Japan’s car companies,Europe’s clothing enterprise, play the role of leader in the development of the times. Thecompetition between these enterprises is becoming more and more fierce. These enterprisesalso firmly mastered unique skill under the condition that people’s living standards improved.They overcame the difficulties and became the bellwether at last. The unique skill is KanseiEngineering which we need to research and analyse in this paper. It is the new branch ofscience which is applied to home textile design.The research direction of this paper is application of Kansei Engineering in the hometextile design. Kansei Engineering send out unique charm and brightly blaze because it bringshuge profits and achieve success in many industry through researching Kansei Engineering.Some examples proved that Kansei Engineering would lead the development trend in thefuture. The successful examples that Kansei Engineering is applied to some fields such asauto industry, commodity industry, garment industry, home industry are summarized andanalysed. The constant core concept that Kansei Engineering can apply to different industry ispeople-oriented. Great research value in many fields such as philosophy, aesthetics, art,society and economy is confirmed through successful examples in famous enterprises all overthe world.This paper combines my major which is home textile design with Kansei Engineering.The two are complementary to each other. The classic design concept which comes fromclassic design enterprise, classic design work and the classic designer is refined throughcurrent development situation of home textile design. In order to meet the human perceptualdemand , the following five main points are researched in the paper: Shape, colour, taste,touch and sound. These elements are put into the home textile design. Then the applicationexpress of Kansei Engineering in home textile design is confirmed after analyzing these examples in different ages. "The five big study center" combined with home textile design inpublic space, analyzes and demonstrates in different ages. It is proved successful applicationof Kansei Engineering in public space. The summary showed that the study of KanseiEngineering in home textile design catered to the spirit of the age which is the " humanized ",and would play a huge role to the future society development.
