NC machining is a modern production enterprise of machining method, it has such as the processing of high precision, high production efficiency, can process workpieces with complex etc.. But some parts not directly using CNC machining, such as cylindrical billet will be through a dedicated fixture design can be used in numerical control machining. Modern product has varied styles, small batch and other characteristics. How to improve the production efficiency, reduce the cost becomes more and more important.In this paper, in the processing of a lock core parts as an example, first to design a set of feasible processing scheme, by turning, milling, drilling and other processing method. Milling process is the difficulty, for milling processes need to design a special fixture, numerical control processing becomes possible.Through a large number of related literatures, to select the number of parts, processing time, processing cost parameters to establish a mathematical model, calculate each processing part number, so that the fixture design of the basic data.This paper also uses Master CAM software on machining process simulation, using the YHM600numerical control milling machine through analyzing the actual processing, processing time, description of design solutions.Finally, comparing the use of special fixture for batch production and production efficiency, and further demonstrates the economic value of special fixture design.
