Among all of the modification methods, fiber filling modification and powder fillingmodification are widely used methods in manufacture field. This filling modification methodcould retain the advantage properties of filling materials and matrix materials, rise the overallperformance of composite materials, reduce the cost or materials at the same time.Through orthogonal test analysis, the glass fiber content, the content of slag powder andslag powder particle size are selected as effective factors. After blending, extrusiongranulation and injection molding, binary composites and ternary composites are prepared.tensile properties testing, notched impact performance testing, density testing and microscopicfracture morphology analysis are applied to analysis these materials.The results showed that:1)For the slag powder/PA6binary composite, when the content of slag powder is25wt%,slag powder/PA6composite achieve the best mechanical properties. Compared with pure PA6,the tensile strength can be improved13%.2)For the ternary materials slag glass fiber//PA6composite, adding coupling agent effecton the mechanical properties of the composites obviously, the tensile strength increased up to15.8%, the impact strength increased up to17.6%. When the glass fiber content is fixed at30wt%, with slag powder is added, the impact strength can be raised by6.1%.3)When5wt%slag powder content,45wt%content of glass fiber, ternary compositeshave optimal mechanical properties, tensile strength reached114.33MPa, the impact strengthreached8.52KJ/m2. In the mechanical properties increase at the same time, the material costcan be reduced about30%than pure PA6.Also, density testing result shows that adding slagpowder would not increase the density dramatically.4)Content of slag powder and glass fiber content hace greater impact on the mechanicalproperties of the composites then average particle size of the slag powder affect themechanical properties of the composites.
