Stress is the fundamental force of mining and other underground or opencast rock and soil excavation deformation and damage caused by impact, its magnitude and direction on the stability of roadway surrounding rock large. Therefore, the in-situ stress measurement is to determine the properties of engineering rock mass mechanics, surrounding rock stability is analyzed, the essential premise to realize the design and decision-making scientific excavation of rock and soil engineering.Stress is mainly composed of gravity stress and tectonic stress. In order to study the stress distribution law, on one hand, using theoretical analysis method to set up various stress analysis model, which provides a theoretical means for stress prediction and estimation in the crust; on the other hand, a lot of stress based on the measured data, the stress distribution of different regional characteristics, stress with depth variation, the relationship between principal stresses, and main factors affecting stress distribution. In this paper a number of learning and the basis of the analysis, a more detailed analysis of the various measurement methods of stress, and the advantages and disadvantages of various measurement methods are summarized and compared. The focus is on the two commonly used methods of measurement, measurement principle and measurement method of borehole stress release method and hydraulic fracturing method is studied in detail. Hydraulic fracturing in-situ stress measurement can measure the deep rock stress, test method is simple and convenient, is suitable for coal mine of in-situ stress measurement. At the same time, to study the effect on stress of roadway surrounding rock deformation and failure of the numerical simulation method in this paper. To simulate the horizontal stress and vertical stress effect on the stability of surrounding rock of roadway, and then simulated when the maximum principal stress and the axial angle is not at the same time, impact on the stability of surrounding rock of roadway. And the simulation results are analyzed in detail, the horizontal stress on the roof and floor, the vertical stress of surrounding rock of two sides of deformation and failure; and when the maximum principal stress and the axial angle of0°, namely the maximum principal stress and axial force and roadway parallel, small amount of deformation of roadway surrounding rock. Finally, according to the Luan mining area and the deep (Xinwen) mining area show of in-situ stress measurement results and the in-situ stress conditions, stress distribution obtained have great help to mine design and mining activities.
