In-situ stress is the basic force caused mining engineering deformation and damage,also make other underground and open-air rock digging project distortion and destruction,its size and direction to a great extent affects the stability of the surrounding rock ofroadway. Therefore, the in-situ stress measurement, analyze the stability of surroundingrock, and the mechanical properties of engineering rock body, became an essentialcondition of geotechnical excavation design, is also the primary task of scientific planning.This needs us to measurement in-situ stress.The stress release method is currently the most widely used method of in-situ stressmeasurement, More than half of the worldwide in-situ stress data is achieved by thismethod. Aperture distortion meter measuring in-situ stress is one of the stress relief method,Because of its has the characteristics of high precision, easy to operate then other in-situstress measurement method, has been widely used in the in-situ stress measurement athome and abroad. However, the current domestic measurement results in the use ofaperture deformation of calculation of ground stress field there are some noticeableproblems in the process, These problems with the user on meter aperture deformationtheory foundation and the working principle of the lack of understanding. And theexistence of these problems will greatly affect the reliability and accuracy of in-situ stressmeasurement results.This paper puts forward the relevant problems and presents the techniques andmethods to solve these problems. Begins with research of the stress release methodmeasuring, The aperture deformation measurement method on the basis of theoreticalresearch, experimental study on the aperture deformation method, On the aperturedeformation measurement methods involved in the rock elastic modulus and poisson’s ratio,rock discontinuity, heterogeneity and anisotropy, non linear elastic experiment research on the physical and mechanical parameters such as, to determine the influence of differentphysical parameters on the deformation of aperture method accuracy.Through the experimental results reveal the inner link and modified, make itsmeasurement precision is improved. On the basis of combined with specific applicationexamples, introduce aperture deformation method in jing area ore in-situ stressmeasurement, the application of stress according to the measurement result analysis of themining area size and the direction, provide the basis for the mine scientific and reasonabledevelopment road.
