In this paper a low-vibration casting device has been designed and developed,By using AR63C type pen vibrometer as the vibration detection means, the affect ofmechanical vibration on the low-pressure casting equipment has been detected.vibration transmission medium have been tested and selected and ZL205A alloy wasued as the experimental materials to study the effects of mechanical vibration onZL205A alloy castings for shrinkage.Inertial vibration motor was used as vibration source for the low vibrationcasting device, providing stable and controllable linear amplitude and frequency ofvibration levels. Measured results show that mechanical vibration transmissionthrough the sand and the liquid alloy is very difficult. Vibration transmitted throughsand and liquid metal to lift pipe mechanical vibration is very weak.The appliedmechanical vibrations has little effect on the low-pressure casting equipment and itwill not cause significant impact on the low-pressure casting equipment.so it can beused in low-pressure casting.By studying the law of mechanical vibration in the medium, the transmissionof the medium has near-linear relationship with the length of medium.The form islonger,the attenuation of the vibration is larger and the vibration transmissionperformance is worse; The frequency is the lower, the vibration transmissionperformance is the better.So low-frequency vibration is more used in low pressurecasting; The vibration transmission properties of the medium decrease with thetemperature raise, but below300℃, the temperature almost has no impact.In the45steel, A3steel, cast iron, brass, aluminum and sand, the vibrationtransmission performance of45steel is the best. The45steel was selected s as thevibration transmission medium, and finally used for the low-pressure casting ofvibration vibration test on ZL205A alloy. The results show: mechanical vibrations isgood for the feeding of ZL205A alloy, the effect of feeding is improved withincreasing frequency.Casting and shrinkage is reduced mostly when the vibrationfrequency reaches50Hz; The feeding effect of casting samples gradually increasewith amplitude.When the amplitude reaches0.8mm,feeding works best; The affectof the amplitude the on casting shrinkage is stronger than the vibration frequency.Die casting experimental and theoretical analysis indecat that in thelow-vibration casting, at the vibration parameters of a frequency of50Hz,amplitude of0.8mm, the feeding is best and casting shrinkage is minimum.
