After meeting the basic needs of the products, more and more people show thedemands to the products customization, and they are even willing to spend more moneyto buy a product fitting to them. However, the way of products online customization justexpands the choice of choosing, it does not offer the user ability to “make” the products.The way of this so-called “customization”, therefore, can’t still meet the personal needsof the products completely, and it ignores the most important factor “people”, so in theway of the shopping online, people always dissatisfy with the size or color of theproducts they buy from the web. Based on the personal customized needs above, takingglass customization as an example, we try to propose a design method of online glasscustomization system based on the three-dimensional information of the head, toprovide user an immersed, realistic and enjoyable space on glass customizationexperience.Digital head model is data structure of head biometric information stored incomputer, and we define it as a collection of three-dimensional of head and the humansocial information in this article. According to the operation flow from input to output,the system can be divided into four parts, including information acquisition,recommendation and customization based on digital head model, digital simulationbased on user experience and glass output. We obtain the head information through the3D scanner, and build the digital head model. The system provides user the possibilityto customize the glass in a parametric way, and the real simulation between the glassand the head model. In the aspect of digital simulation, the paper presents an innovativeexperience of three-dimension glass model virtual trying, and finally we can print theglass model through3D printer.In this paper, we evaluate the system from both accessibility and usability aspects.We assess the system from the ease of use through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluationmethod in a quantitative way, and propose the evaluation model of the system usability,and combine the model with the relevant scale, to compute the final score and analyzethe factors. Next we assess the system accessibility from the five parts, including theease of study, the ease of the use, user interface, the sense control and the result of theglass customization, in a qualitative way based on user satisfaction, and analyze theindicators.Therefore, the way which combines the head biometric information with glasscustomization is not only to consider the subjective factor in the design “people”, butalso to give the users sufficient initiative, and provides the basic needs for the productsmade.
