This paper presents a self-designed piezoelectric print head control system for computer-based platform large-format multi-nozzle full-color inkjet printer, and controvert about the integral design requirement of inkjet printer and characters of piezoelectric print head, includes the overall architecture of control board, electronic circuit design, function module division, drivers programming, communicate with upper computer, cost consideration and upgrade method, it is a research direction of current large-format digital printing equipment field of investigation. This paper presents a solution for multi-nozzle full-color digital inkjet printer's piezoelectric print head control system through analyzing the user need and the existing problems of the same kind products in the market.This paper introduces the internal structure of a kind of piezoelectric print head, analyzing its register configurations and operating condition, emphasis on the piezoelectric print head's driver voltage and waveform control method for realizing high-definition high-speed digital printing. In print head board design parts, it introduces how to use Atmel company's AVR series MCU ATMega8 and Altera Company's MAX7000s series CPLD 7064 cooperation to drive the piezoelectric print head working, realizing the drive voltage control and waveform configuration for print head. In drivers programming parts, this paper introduces the function of MCU, including the ADC, PWM, EEPROM, IIC and some parameters calibration in dynamic test, and the LED board drivers program is also add to the print head board MCU in addition. Print head signal program is described by Verilog HDL language and loaded in CPLD, used for realizing the configuration data signal and pixel data signal.In addition, this paper amplify further the least square fitting a straight line for T-V curve optimization algorithm and base on IIC bus interface multiplex method, compress the T-V curve parameters storage space, reduce the interface which need only in debugging time, realizing the high efficiency manage and accuracy control by the top management system, make the whole piezoelectric print head control system have the character of small volume, low power consumption, good reliability.
