The technology of multi-cored forging is widely applied in the industrial productionwith the rapid development of our industry, which plays an important role in improvingthe precision of forgings, saving metal materials, forging complicated parts, reducingmachinery processing, etc. With the development of thermal power, nuclear power,petrochemical industry, metallurgy and shipbuilding industry, the demands of themulti-cored forgings rise sharply. Multi-cored Forging Hydraulic Press is the specialequipment of production of multi-cored forgings, its manufacturing ability and level arethe decisive factors to the level of multi-cored forging technology. In this thesis,6.5MNMulti-cored Forging Hydraulic Press is a special machine that is aimed to researching themulti-cored forging technology.The dissertation based on hydraulic press design theory, referred to the designexperience and structure of former large-sized die forging hydraulic press, throughfeasibility analysis, defined the integral structure and technical parameters of6.5MNMulti-cored Forging Hydraulic Press, and given the body structure scheme. With thisunderstanding, the dissertation confirmed the scheme of structure design of upper beam,lower beam, moving crossbeam and horizontal frame. At the same time, the dissertationgiven the layout plan of the perforation hydraulic cylinder, driving hydraulic cylinder andhorizontal hydraulic cylinder.The dissertation established the3D solid geometry model of hydraulic press by usingsoftware Pro/E, used finite element analysis software ANSYS to finish6.5MN hydraulicpress’s statics analysis and analysed results of stress, strain and deformation. Thedissertation confirmed the rationality of body structure’s strength and stiffness. On thisbasis, this dissertation analysed and calculated the modal shape of the hydraulic press byANSYS Workbench, extracted the first ten order frequencies and corresponding vibrationmode, and analysed the rationality of each order vibration mode of modal shapeBased on the above calculation results, the initial structure design is improved forhydraulic press in the dissertation, at the end, the ultimate structure design is proposed for the press.
