Three different kinds of composite oil absorption resins, such as acrylic ester resinmodified with hydrophobic different morphology manganese oxide, were synthesized bysuspension polymerization under microwave irradiation, respectively. The adsorptionproperties of as-synthesized resins were researched and the samples were characterizedby Fourier transmission infrared, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, etc.The manganese oxide (AR) was modified by vinyl triethoxysilane under microwaveirradiation. The optimum condition for modified manganese oxide was explored by theorthogonal test and hydrophobic test. The composite material of hydrophobic manganeseoxide (AR) and butyl acrylate/butyl methacrylate resin was synthesized. Meanwhile, theexcellent condition for synthesizing resin was obtained by the orthogonal test. Theadsorption properties of composite resin were studied and the adsorption capacities forcarbon tetrachloride, gasoline, toluene were49.85g·g-1,23.27g·g-1and27.18g·g-1respectively. Kinetic of the adsorption properties for gasoline of composite resin was fittedwell with pseudo-first order relatively. The reusability and thermal stability of the resinwere improved.Manganese oxide nanowires were prepared by hydrothermal method. Theas-prepared sample was modified by cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide undermicrowave irradiation. The composite material of hydrophobic manganese oxidenanowires and butyl acrylate/butyl methacrylate resin was synthesized by suspensionpolymerization under microwave irradiation. Moreover, the adsorption properties ofcomposite resin were on trial in this study. The adsorption capacities for chloroform, carbon tetrachloride and toluene were54.77g·g-1,52.30g·g-1and24.99g·g-1respectively.Simultaneously, the kinetic of the composite resin was investigated. Furthermore, thereusability of the polymer has also shown with high adsorption capacity.Biomorphic manganese oxide on cotton temples was fabricated by infiltration andsubsequently calcination. Under microwave irradiation, the as-prepared sample was modified by cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide. The surface of biomorphic manganeseoxide was hydrophobic. The composite material of hydrophobic biomorphic manganeseoxide and butyl methacrylate/styrene resin was synthesized by suspension polymerizationunder microwave irradiation. The adsorption capacity and regenerability of compositeresin were researched.
