Continuous casting machine as the heavy equipment for middle part of steelproduction plays a very important role in improving steel production. The quality ofcontinuous casting slab surface determines the need for finishing before rolling, and is animportant factor having effect on the yield and cost of steel, also is the prerequisite of hotdelivery and direct rolling for billet.Ladle turret is the key equipment of continuous casting machine, it is the support andcarrier equipment for ladle. It is a ladle carrying equipment which has been developedrapidly over the past decade. In the past the domestic big bearing turret ladle design reliedon design introduction or cooperative manufacturing, only mastered some realmanufacturing elements of ladle turret. So the design and improvement on its keycomponents for domestic design of ladle turret which has large bearing capacity have acertain theoretical significance and practical value. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1) The stress state of the ladle turret base in the extreme conditions was analyzed.(2) Design the ladle turret associated components.(3) The three-dimensional model of ladle base was established by use of SolidWorkssoftware.(4) The basic design of the base was analyzed by the finite element method, and wasbased on the results for improvement.Research on the topic selection of ladle turret load in extreme conditions ascalculation conditions, at the same time, the impact of conversion of ladle turret ladle isaccepted for static strength analysis, using finite element analysis, calculate the ladleturntable bearing components in the given conditions, the deformation and stressdistribution of the overall security coefficient data, provide the basis for the design of ladleturret.
