Ladle turret is large transport equipment in continuous casting machine production line, it realize the continuous of casting with the crystallizer, straightening machine and intermediate tank and other smelting equipment. Through the transfer of ladle turret, the steel span steel liquid can be continuously transmitted to the pouring position of continuous casting machine, and quickly perform replacement of ladle heavy bag and empty package. Ladle turret is the important equipment in continuous casting production line, research of ladle turret has a far-reaching significance in engineering practice.In this paper, we consider the contact problem of the major components and the local nonlinearity of spatial deformation, adopting three-dimensional nonlinear contact finite element method, through the scientific integrity of the " Design-Analysis-Optimization design-Check " in the research process.First, we accord to the feasibility of the design drawings of the new factory1#ladle turret to model structure, mesh discretization and mechanical modeling, calculation overall stress field and deformation field of the ladle turret and main parts. Find out the structure design defects of feasible design scheme and weak link, puting forward strengthening design improvement scheme of the double-layer barrel porch.According to the calculation and analysis of the modification in reliability design, optimization designing the structure, forming the preliminary design plan. After calculation and analysis to find out the defect and optimization, obtained the final detailed design scheme,the calculation results show that the details of the design of ladle turret are meet the design requirements in strength, stiffness and stability,successful implementation of the ladle turret design innovation in rotating arm is lengthened and the tower of cylinder body.After the ladle turret construction complete and put into productionthe, we conduct a field test of dynamic stress, contrasting the results of test and finite element calculation, verification the rationality and accuracy of calculation results.Validation of the optimization calculation by the finite element calculation is reasonable, and validation the safety and reliability of the ladle turret with the calculation results.Until the new1#ladle turret in operation, without any problems, the ladle turret rotation is convenient operation. Slewing bearing lubricating oil did not show any metal particles, current of ladle turret changes in smooth, not need any maintenance and inspection, production and operation show that the ladle turret is one of the most excellent caster ladle turret in our country, it also reached the international advanced level.
