The performance of the asphalt is depended on the oil sources and production methods, andfinally, which depended on its chemical components. After years of evolution, the solid-liquidchromatography is widely used for the analysis of asphalt chemical composition, especially theasphalt four components separation test. However, the data accuracy and repeatability of traditionaltest method is not ideal for research. Therefore, how to improve the precision and convenience ofasphalt four components experiments has an important practical significance on asphalt qualityanalysis and evaluation.Base on the consideration above-mentioned, we developed a new equipment for separatingasphalt four-component based on reduced pressure in this thesis, and improved the samplingmethod of asphalt four-component separation test, studied the influence of the activationconditions and water degree of stationary phase-alumina, addition order and dosage of mobilephases on the results of asphalt four-component separation test. We also explored the selection ofproper mobile phases in the case that stationary phase is silicone. The main conclusions were listedbelow:(1) Compared with the pressed device, the reduced asphalt four components separation devicecan realize more groups of experiments are conducted parallel and separation time is reduced from10hours to3hours, and data with good repeatability are obtained through independent experimentand parallel analysis of component percentage.(2) Compared with the traditional sampling methods, the uniform solution sampling methodcan make the asphalt sample more homogeneous and realize the groups-sampling one-time, whichguarantees the repeatability and reproducibility of asphalt components experiment.(3) The activation temperature and time of alumina were determined by using X-ray diffraction(XRD) to represent the crystal structure of alumina, the activity of alumina of different watercontent was obtained through BET and the best water content was determined to1%.(4) When alumina is used as stationary phase, the addition order of the mobile phase shouldn’tbe changed, the dosage should be in accordance with the specification requirements.(5) When silicone is selected as stationary phase, the n-heptane is used to elute saturates, the n-heptane/toluene (volume ratio1:5) is used to elute aromatics, and toluene/ethanol (volume ratio11:9) is to elute colloid.
