As an important part of the mine production, mine hoist is one of the mostcritical equipment of mine production to contact mines inoue and undergroundhaulage as the throat of mine. Once the mine hoist system is failure, it can lead to thewhole mine production to a standstill and may cause serious personal injury or death.Therefore, it has a great significance of remote monitoring and fault diagnosis of minehoist system. The automation of hoisting system can improve production efficiency,protect the safe operation of equipment and increase the effectiveness of the company.This article takes the Yankuang Group CO.LTD XING-Longzhuang Coal Mineas the background, designed a mine hoist monitoring system and fault diagnosis withPLC control technology, network technology, fault diagnosis method, the expertsystem theory and configuration technology. The system establishs hardware systemof the control system with PLC as control core, combining information collectionequipment such as sensors, output devices, and human-computer interactionequipment. PLC and PC realizes information interaction and remote monitoringfunction on the control network.The article builds the hoist fault diagnosis system, and establishs the faultdiagnosis structure model based on expert system. As the research object of hoistingmachine mechanical failure, it designs the model of core part---knowledge base andreasoning machine. It makes the system fault diagnosis ability faster and moreaccurate, and it ensures the safe and reliable operation of hoisting machine byestablishing the hoisting machine fault diagnosis based on expert system.Finally, the hoist monitoring system is designed which is based on SiemensWinCC configuration software. It can display the running status of equipment,operating history, fault alarm information and so on.Field operation shows that the system can satisfy the requirement of theoperation of the hoist. The system configuration is reasonable.
