Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis in essence is to understand and master Running status of devices, assess and forecast the devices reliability. It can discover the faults incipient tendency at the beginning of them take place, thus to identify the reasons for failure. Sometimes,it can also predict the trend of failures'development, and make decisions for specific situations.In this paper, according to the theory of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis, the mine hoist equipment's machinery and electronic components were analyzed, the sites and links of the mine hoist equipment that prone to failure in running were sorted. Based on it,a fault library was established and the contents of monitoring were determined,a mine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis software was designed, the software provided a comprehensive protection for the safe operation of the mine hoist equipment.The programming of this project takes VC++ as a platform of software.Some common fault types of hoist were collected,we also analyzed their intrinsic and external factors, as well as the mutual effects, based on them, we built the equipment failure library.On the basis of characteristics of the hoist system's fault,a fault reasoning mechanism was established,it could achieve fault diagnosis.The system acquire equipments'important part of running state data by communicating with the under-machine through the RS485 serial line. The monitoring of key spot has been designed, which could not only monitor parameters of components'state such as brake shoe wear and air throttle switch, and manufacturing parameters including skip bucket counting, the velocity and depth of hoist, the pressure of hydraulic station, the oil pressure and temperature of lubrication station and opens or stops of each kind of electromechanical devices, but also monitor electric quantity parameters such as voltage, electric current and so on. In addition, the system used video monitor to pay close attention to some dangerous positions. After being tested in production practice, the diagnosis system was proved that it can diagnose and predict the breakdown in production so as to guarantee security of the production. The practice shows that the design proposed by this paper is feasible, and the forecast result is correct. Above all ,this design provide a valuable reference for the development of monitor diagnosis of the same type.
