As a new green mining technology, solid backfill mining is widely applied andpromoted throughout China, not only making full use of solid waste, but also solvingthe problems of widespread surface subsidence. With the heavy shortage of coalresources, the mining technology has a good prospect. In the paper, it has made theresearch on the ground surface deformation and movement laws in solid backfillmining by the way of similar material model, field observation data and numericalsimulation, the main work and research findings are followed as:(1) In order to reveal the strata movement characteristic and surface deformationand movement process in solid backfill mining, the failure process of strata movementand surface deformation and movement characteristic of solid backfill mining andsolid backfill mining in the same condition are studied by the similar material model.(2) According to field observation data in Huayuan mine, the surface movementand deformation laws for solid backfill mining is studied first, and the dynamic andstatic angle parameters of the surface movement are computed, then the feature ofsurface dynamic subsidence velocity is discussed.(3) Based on the geological and mining conditions in Huayuan mine, the stratamovement model of solid backfill mining and solid backfill mining is established bythe FLAC3d software, and the ground subsidence and horizontal displacementbetween the two mining conditions are made contrast research.(4) Referring to the above research findings of field observation data, similarmaterial model and numerical simulation, we have summarized strata movementprocess and the mechanism of controlling surface subsidence for solid backfill mining,and discussed about the control factors of surface subsidence under the background ofthe current status of solid backfill mining techniques.(5) The parameters of probability function method by ground subsidenceprediction for solid backfill mining in Huayuan mine are obtained with the inversionof the data of ground observation station, and the determination of predictableparameter for probability function method based on equivalent mining height theory isdiscussed in solid fill mining.The research findings provide not only scientific evidence to the design ofcontrolling surface subsidence for the guide of solid backfill mining under buildings,but also experimental basis to further explore the strata movement and the surfacemovement and deformation laws.
