High pressure pulsating water hammer device is a new device can generate thepulse pressure wave.Which generates the pressure wave propagation in an watersystem, therefore it is necessary to study the water volume impact of pulse pressurewave peak, and pressure wave propagation characteristics of the fluid lines anddifferent media. This paper studies the effect of the water volume of the peak pressure,help to optimize the pipeline design to enhance the output device peak pressure, andthus the pulse pressure wave can be better used.Firstly, research the mechanism of the pressure wave generated from thehigh-pressure water hammer device, and analysis the pressure pulse wavepropagation.Establishment of high-pressure water hammer device pulsating pressurewave generated in the internal structure of a mathematical model of the process.Through the analysis of mathematical models, combined with the size of theexperimental device structure, and iterative calculation, find out water volume affectthe mechanism of pulse pressure wave peak pressure, as the water volume increases,static pressure is gradually increased; the pressure and total pressure was graduallydecreased.Then, experimental pipeline system was put up after the design of water-hammerdevice for high impulse pressure. In order to satisfy transient measurement, testingsystem was constructed. Mainly for the four experiment groups, each set ofexperiments were collected high-pressure cylinder outlet pipe in the middle, inlet andoutlet of the tank experiment pressure transient,analysis the measured data,found thatwith the increase of the volume of water system, pressure peaks werereduced.Accordingly, consistent with theoretical analysis,reflected and superpositionrule pressure waves in the pipe end was found, analyzing the peak pressure, thelaboratory tests results proved the mechanism that the water system volume impactsthe pressure peak of pulse pressure wave was correct.Finally, the experimental study of the peak pressure wave changes in differentmedia, collecting high-pressure cylinder outlet, the inlet and outlet of the test tankpressure transients.With increasing density of the medium filling the pressure wavetransmitted to the end of the peak pressure is reduced.Analysis the measured datefound that pressure wave reflection more dramatic in the medium than watersystem.Coal as an example, analysis the microscopic transmission mechanism in coalinjection process. Combined with theoretical analysis and laboratory tests, the comprehensiveunderstanding about how water system and porous media impacts the pressure peak ofpulse pressure wave was got.
