In recent years, Bamboo structural materials developed rapidly, but problems of Incomplete data base, Imperfect design principles and Inconsistent quality of materials has been revealed gradually and became the important factor on the use of bamboo structural materials. For these problems in bamboo structural materials manufacturing process. In this study, with two bamboo strips as research object, tested its basic mechanical properties; and use these two type of bamboo strips and PF making bamboo glued lamination, use orthogonal test method to determine the side pressure, pressing time and hot temperatures in bamboo glued lamination hot press process. use full size tension test to determine the process parameters of staggered joint group of blanks in bamboo glued lamination.determined laminations’ rate by E-Rated bamboo glued lamination.at same time evaluate the process properties and mechanical properties of bamboo glued lamination.at last, with the data of laminations and relevant standards, designed and manufactured of glued bamboo samples. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1) two types of bamboo strips of bamboo in this study, their tensile strength are4.06MPa and4.27MPa; chordwise bending are132.92MPa and185.99MPa; chordwise bending modulus are9.64GPa and12.37GPa.(2) the best hot press process parameters of bamboo glued lamination are:side pressure is5MPa, pressing time is15min and hot temperatures is135℃. Apposite staggered joint group of blanks in bamboo glued lamination is145mm.(3) According to the standard AITC117-2004"Standard Specifications For Structural Glued Laminated Timber Of Softwood Species" E-Rated bamboo glued lamination is feasible; and there are1.0E LAM rate,1.8E~2.3E LAM rate altogether7rates in bamboo glued lamination.(4) Two types of laminations’ bonding strength are good; type A lamination’s tensile strength is8.95MPa, type B’s is7.50MPa; higher the rate of bamboo glued lamination, higher the bending strength, but there is not much interrelated between rate of the lamination and its compression strength, the main difference of compression is different type of bamboo strips. The bamboo glued lamination made by closer to the surface of the green bamboo strips, its compression strength is better.(5) Relevant standards on glued wood design is also suitable for glued bamboo.In this study design strength of glued is82.65MPa, design modulus is12.56GPa. the structure of the glued bamboo including compressive layer, center layer and tensile layer. Different parts of layers correspondence different rate of bamboo glued lamination; When groups blanks the glued bamboo, use different version of the type of bamboo glued lamination, avoiding the Stress concentration and Guaranteeing the strength of the glued bamboo.
