With the high-speed progress of science and technology, the rapid development ofnational economy and the promotion of people’s living standard, metal material extrusionmachine has been widely used in machinery, automobiles, instrumentation, electricalappliances, light industry and other departments. In this paper, XJ-2500T four-columnhorizontal hot extrusion extruder which company needs is used as research object. On thepremise of meeting the use requirement, the structure of the extruding machine and controlsystem are updated and transformed, the extrusion machine weight is reduced, andman-machine interface is used to improve extrusion production mechanization, automationand intellectualization. The main contents studied by this thesis are as follows:Firstly, the extrusion forming process of extruding machine is analyzed by usingnumerical simulation system. DEFORM-3D software is used to research the processparameters of perforation and extrusion on the influence of extrusion forming withaluminum in6063as an example, which get the influence of related parameters, andprovide the basis for future analysis on perforated and extrusion research of metalextrusion machine, also for optimization of structure and system.Secondly, stress analysis and load calculation on the front beam is made withknowledge of mechanics, and results cloud of stress and maximum displacement areoutputted under the static analysis in ANSYS. Using APDL language to build parametricmodel, making optimization analysis based on the structural optimization design theory,and strength and rigidity constraint validation are done at last. According to the previousanalysis method the lightweight conclusions of front beam can be obtained.Thirdly, control research of the various sports bodies and hydraulic circuits aredesigned in accordance with the working principle of the extruder. Connections andrelationships among the various subsystems are analyzed and overall hydraulic controlsystem is built through series and parallel mode. And the related important components in the hydraulic system are analyed and design.Fourthly, GX Developer8.86software is used to design the control sequence ofextruder according to the workflow with the PLC of Mitsubishi FX2Nas the control center.The corresponding control system function module and the hardware system are designedand selections of PLC parts are made.
