A Study Of Inheritance On Miao Traditional Costume Culture In Family Education

Ethnic traditional culture is the achievements of civilization which a nation survived by andco-creative in a nation’s long process of historical development. The Miao traditional costumeculture is the epitome of Miao history and culture, as one of the most unique traditional culture ofMiao nationality, his emergence and development dependent on Miao traditional costumes. Itinterprets the Miao people’s cultural psychology and embodies the harmonious relationshipbetween human and natural humanities ecology in an especial way.History is developing, Cultural needs to be inherited. Miao society is a place where haslanguage but without words, the inheritance of Miao traditional costume culture relies mainly onfamily education. While, with the accelerated process of economic globalization and theemergence of school education, Miao family education’s function of inheriting the traditionalcostume culture began to weaken. The concept, mode and content of inheritance have beenchanged unprecedented, Miao traditional costume culture decline gradually and the inheritanceproblems become more and more serious. Therefore, ethnic traditional cultures gradually subsided,and people appealed to save the national traditional cultures. Under the new historical conditions,what has happened to the Miao traditional costume culture? How Miao people using their familyeducation to inheriting costume culture, make it not only into the modernization process, but alsokeep its national characteristics is worth thinking and it is also the main contents which discussedin this paper.This study takes Dehang village, Aizhai town, Xiangxi state as key investigationpoint, selects three families as a case, from the perspective of anthropology and in theform of field work way to investigates the inheritance condition of Miao traditionalcostumes culture, understands and analyze the Miao traditional costumes culture’scontents, inheritance process, the effect of inheritance and the attitudes and opinionsof educators and learners. On the basis, the heritage problems have been found,reasons have been discussed, and strategies have been proposed. The author believesthat only to build a learning family, play the cultural innovation function of familyeducation, and under the leadership and supervision of the government to integrate thestrength of family, school and society, and constantly enhance the cultural identityand cultural consciousness of people, can the Miao traditional costume culturesurvived.
