Under hydrothermal condition on the basis of Strandberg-type anion andKeggin-type molybdenum phosphate building unit, by selecting the appropriate organicligands modifying the polyoxometalates structure unit. Eight novel polyometalateorganic-inorganic hybrid compounds have been synthesized.The chemical formulas of eight compounds have been determined by elementsanalysis and TG analysis:[Ni(bim)3]3[P2Mo5O23]·2H2O (1)[Ni(Hbim)(bim)2]4[P2Mo5O23]2·2H2O (2)[Ni(bim)(Hbim)(phen)]2[P2Mo5O23]·3H2O (3)[{Cu(bim)}{Cu(bim)2}2{P2Mo5O23}]·2H2O (4)[Ag2(bim)2][{Ag2(bim)2}{[P2Mo5O23}]·3H2O (5)(H2bpp)6[P2Mo5O23]2(6)(H2bbi)5[P2Mo5O23]2·3H2O (7)[{Cu(bim)}{Cu(bim)2}2{PMo12O40}]·2H2O (8)(bim=2,2’-biimidazole,phen=1,10-phenanthroline, bpp=1,3’-di(4-pyridyl)propane,bbi=1,1’-(1,4-butanediyl)bis(imidazole))These new compounds are structurally characterized by IR and single crystal X-raydiffractions. Compounds1~5are based on [P2Mo5O23]6-cluster anion and transitionmetal modified of new type polyoxometalate. Compound1,2and3are through weakinteraction formed3-D supramolecular structure. Compound4is composed of differentpieces of [Cu(bim)]2+and [Cu(bim)2]2+, each [P2Mo5O23]6-polyoxometalate cluster issupported by one [Cu(bim)]2+and two [Cu(bim)2]2+cations, which are connected to athree-dimensional framework via hydrogen bonding and weak interactions. Compound5is made up of [P2Mo5O23]6-cluster anion and [Ag2(bim)2]2+cluster along a-axis formwavy one-dimensional chain structure, and through hydrogen bonding andsupramolecular formed the three dimensional structure. Compound6is through flexibleligands bpp and two adjacent [P2Mo5O23]6-anion linked by supramolecular interactionsand hydrogen bonds generating a one-dimensional chain, and further by similar weakinteraction to yield extending3-D structure. In compound7, two crystallographically independed [P2Mo5O23]6-clusters are connected together to form dimeric cluster viaweak supramolecular interactions, the dimeric units are further linked by bbi moleculeto form infinite1D chains via hydrogen bonds. Compound8is composed of onetri-supported [PMo12O40]3-polyoxometalate cluster, one [Cu(bim)]2+anion,two[Cu(bim)2]2+anions, and two lattice water molecules. Each [P2Mo5O23]6-polyoxometalate cluster is supported by one [Cu(bim)]2+and two [Cu(bim)2]2+cations,which are connected to a three-dimensional framework via hydrogen bonding and weaksupramolecular interactions.By electrochemical analysis system and cyclic voltammetric, elecrrochemicalproperties of the five compounds were studied in detail. And the electrocatalyticReduction analysis of compound are studied in detail.It indicated that showed highcatalytic response towards the reduction of H2O2. Fluorescence properties of compoundresearch shows that the synthetic compounds can be used as luminescent materials.
