Burner is the core components of Rotary kiln burner for vanadium,not onlyto provide fuel and oxidizer combustion,at the same time is the main power plant forthe flame forming. Therefore the reasonable design and use of rotary kiln burner willprovide good condition, it’s also very important for the calcination of cement clinker,cost reduction, the improvement of products’ quality and the reduction of energyconsumption.The optimal structure of rotary kiln burner for vanadium shale is designed toachieve efficient, low consumption, long term safe operation, and meet theneeds of a growing environmental protection requirements. The working process of theburner is simulated by applying the computational fluid dynamics software-Fluent, thedifferent effects on flow field when the gas outlet diameter of the burner changed arestudied separately.The flow field and temperature field of the burner-rotary kilnsystem are analyzed in general. The rationality of the simulation method is tested bycomparing the theoretical calculation and software analysis. The calculation resultsshow that the simulation results are in agreement with actual working characteristics.The reasonable gas nozzle diameter can greatly improve the rate of gas and air mixture,improve the combustion rate, reduce pollution gas and energy consumption.According to the simulation results, the burner structure currently in use isimproved, and the burner system is designed to ensure the burner work better. Byrunning the system, Tests were carried out on the burner characteristics. Theexperiment proved: the burner combustion performance meet the process requirementsof rotary kiln for vanadium.
