Study On Acoustic Emission Characteristics Of Metal Corrosion

In this paper, acoustic emission testing of of experimental conditions, thecollected signals and AE source mechanism are focused on during the course of metalcorrosion.The study is focused on the metal corrosion under different etching solution anddifferent specimens. By using the way that combined the sound source simulation andactual acoustic emission signals of corrosion process and through establishingacoustic emission monitoring experiment of metal corrosion indoor, we can obtain theinherent law between the metal corrosion mechanism and acoustic emission signals.Firstly, studying the produced mechanism of the acoustic emission source from thebubble burst of metal corrosion process and the rupture of metal passivision film, wewill establish the corresponding acoustic emission source model by Fluent, andcombine plate theory of acoustic emission wave, so we can get the rules between thecorrosion process and the characteristic parameters of acoustic emission signals;Secondly,4metal material Q235B,15CrMoR, Q235and304stainless steel wereselected in the experiment, and we made the acoustic emission monitoringexperiments during the corrosion time in dilute HCl solution and NaOH solution ofdifferent concentrations. By the methods of waveform analysis, spectral analysis, kmeans clustering of pattern recognition methods, to verify the correctness of metalcorrosion simulation results of the sound source acoustic emission signals of differentconditions were made data processing and comparative analysis, so as to evaluatemetal corrosion rate under different environmental variables and corrosion degree bythe use of acoustic emission means.
