In recent years, the maturity of the market makes consumers begin to pay attention to the feelings about using products more and more, and now tend to approach to product design technology has failed to meet the emotional needs of consumers, market competition forces in the product design consider how to shorten the design and manufacturing cycle and meet customer demand for the product to the maximum extent while to ensure quality and reduce costs.Kansei Engineering can stimulate consumer purchasing desire by studying the user feeling to the product and transforming this feeling into the form of specific performance in product to make the products better meet the needs of users psychological feeling. At present, there are many concrete implementation methods of Kansei Engineering, because of the perceptual differences between users and designers have a certain error makes the experiment and experimental results, we need to think about that according to the characteristics of products, how to choose the suitable method or combination of which methods to solve the problem of actual product.As an important part in modern machinery industry of mechanical and electrical equipment, welder has already permeated various fields of manufacturing and plays a more and more important role in the construction of the national economy. Reference for other scholars at home and abroad, according to the actual circumstance of our country welder design, this study mainly to study how perceptual evaluation of performance in the design object and solving the practical problems users by introducing the content of the Kansei Engineering. To solve this problem, we propose a more practical design method based on Kansei Engineering welder design to develop new products, research is divided into two phases.The first phase is qualitative research on product attributes. List the properties and in-depth analysis for the object of research and experiment of adjective, verb and noun attribute. Study the welder user behavior by establishing welder modeling emotional semantic repository and the product characteristic library can provide a reference to the relevant emotional design and as the basis for the subsequent emotional evaluation.The second stage, do quantitative analysis for the relationship between emotional vocabulary and welder form factor, and introduce in the design of the user’s demand, find out the unsuitable product modeling for the user according to the user behavior analysis results, then use orthogonal experiment for determination of the experimental sample to make the sample is more reliable, discuss about the optimal combination of the perceptual words in the form of welder and set up optimal design and evaluation model by using the joint analysis method to quantify of product attributes and the composition of the utility value of each level. Finally, illustrate the effectiveness of the design and evaluation model with two groups of contrast test.
