Dodecyl polyglucoside (APG-12) surfactants having excellent surface interface andemulsifying properties,is a green and pollution-free surfactant, and its future developmentprospects is more extensive.Through a lot of research and reading literature, the paper studiedthe synthesis and performance evaluation of APG-12, and did a detailed analysis with itsemulsifying properties. In the study, use the direct glycosidation method (one-step) to synthesize APG-12.Through the optimization of synthesis conditions and the analysis of the effect condition, make sure the optimal reaction conditions for the synthesis of APG-12: the ratio of Alcoholand glucose molar is7:1; system reaction temperature is115℃; the optimum molar ratio anddosage of binary catalyst ptoluenesulfonic acid and phosphoric acid are respectively3,1.3%,pressure control in3~4kPa; the reaction time is2.5-3.0h.Use IR spectroscopy analysis theproduct of the alkyl glycoside synthesis infrared spectroscopy, and confirm the desiredproduct composition isAPG-12.Measure and evaluate the products of CMC, the surface and interfacial tension, biodegradability and toxicity of emulsifying properties, and prove that the APG-12propertiesis more excellent than the ordinary LAS and OP-10surfactant. Interfacial tension valuereaches10-3magnitude; elevated temperature and NaCl added can reduce the surface tensionand the CMC the APG-12. APG-12final degradation is up to94%,the skin irritation index is0.3(no stimulation), whose performance is better than green and OP-10and LAS.When theAPG-12concentrations is bigger than1.5g/L; emulsifying properties are stable.and make adetailed analysis from microscopic aspects of the emulsion. In the applications of pipelineanalysis, the heavy oil can reduce the flow resistance of the process by APG-12, and themobile phase can form a O/W emulsion.
