This paper was financially supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China(No.51106020, No.51174042), Petro China Innovation Foundation(2012D-5006-0610) andYouth Scholar Backbone Supporting Plan Project of Heilongjiang General Colleges andUniversities (1252G005).Energy consumption becomes a growing problem of petroleum trade in our country, as aresult of low energy utilization efficiency and poor energy-saving management. Thus, theoperation optimization of oil pipelines, efficiency improvement of equipments, steady growthof economy efficiency and realization of energy conservation and pollution reduction are thelargest targets faced by pipe transportation industry. However, Based on the first law ofthermodynamic, the traditional index system of energy consumption indicates the utilizationlevel of energy during pipeline transportation, only from the perspective of quantity. If thereare difference or change in energy quality of various quantities in energy consumptionprogress, such traditional index system can hardly be used for the scientific and systematicevaluation of energy utilization. Therefore, a evaluation system of exergy consumption inpipeline progress is set up in this paper, and it does some useful complement and fullyextension to traditional evaluation system.This paper starts with heat energy analysis and pressure energy analysis in hot oilpipeline, pointing out the energy analysis of pipeline. And it focus on dealing with thecontradiction between energy consumption and energy supply, in order to finish safetytransportation task. Deep essence description of pipeline progress is not involved.By elaborating external exergy loss and internal exergy loss, it is pointed out that part ofinternal exergy loss is inevitable, which must be consumed to ensure successful progress.Driving exergy in pipeline transportation, namely effective pressure exergy consumption, isdeprived. And exergy flow in pipeline are classified by evitable and inevitable.Based on traditional index system of exergy consumption, analysis index of exergytransfer is proposed, with pressure field as the dominating potential field. It includes fourclasses: object, intensity, efficiency and index. Potential secondary indexes in index set arescreened, thus a more scientific and reasonable evaluation system of exergy consumption canbe built.Energy-saving potential of various exergy consumption indexes is introduced. The pointthat the established exergy consumption index system and standard SY/T6066-2013, energyconsumption calculation and test methods of long-distance pipeline system, is also composed.All this supply us with much new valuable information to achieve energy saving andconsumption reducing in pipeline progress.
