Mine ore-passes are the important channel for slipping and temporarily storingore in underground metal mines. During the productive process, the effect of theimpact and wear of ore, the erosion of underground water, and blasting shock woulddestroy the ore-passes easily. In order to keep the continuous, stable and safeproduction of mines, mine enterprises usually maintain and repair ore-passesperiodically, but the monitoring of ore-passes is the premise of the maintenance andrepair. Manual monitoring of ore-pass is the common way of monitoring ore-pass wallat present. Because ore-passes have the characters of large diameter, high depth, nolight source and high density of dust, manual monitoring has a lot of potential safetyproblems. So the development of scanning device using non-manual way tomonitoring ore-pass wall is especially important. In view of ore-pass monitoring situation and working condition in ore-pass, aore-pass panoramic scanning device was developed, which was composed of datacollection system, hoisting system, positioning system of ore-pass depth and dataprocessing and video monitoring system. The data collection system collects imagedata of wall of ore-pass through four symmetrically arranged cameras, the image datais transmitted to the data processing and video monitoring system through gigabitnetwork line after processed by gigabit network exchange. The data processing andvideo monitoring system expanses the image of wall and displays it on videomonitoring interface. The positioning system of ore-pass depth collects depthinformation of scanning probe in ore-wall, and positioning program of ore-pass depthcalculates depth of scanning probe in ore-pass according to circumference of numberaxis and depth information.Roll, shaft and rack are the main load-carrying parts of ore-pass panoramicscanning device, its structures play an important role in determining the structure ofthe device. In order to ensure the stable operation and reasonable layout of panoramicscanning device, the structures of the main load-carrying parts were analyzed,three-dimensional models of main load-carrying parts and other parts of the devicewere established by SolidWorks, the models were assembled to a three-dimensionalmodels of the device; the force of the main load-carrying parts were analyzed, combined the models and matericals of the main load-carrying parts, the structuralstress of the main load-carrying parts were analyzed by using finite element analysissoftware, the thickness of roll was determined, the strength of shaft and rack werechecked.Applying the device to ore-pass wall monitoring at Jinshangdian Iron Mine ofWuhan Iron and Steel Company, the video data was gained directly and a safe andvisual tool is provided for ore-pass monitoring. The actual test result shows that thedevice can realize panoramic scanning for vertical ore-pass with high-depth,large-diameter, lightless, and a safe and visual tool is provided for ore-pass monitoring.
