The Research Of Mining System Scheme Of Zr-Ti Plac-ers In Baoding Sea

The exploitation of Zi-Ti placers in Baoding Sea is the first large project on offshore mining in China, in view of which, this thesis probed into the principle, technology and devices concerned and de-signed a system scheme for the mining of Zi-Ti placers in Baoding Sea which was tested and verified by experiments. It laid a foundation for further designs. The main content of this thesis is as follows:In this thesis, the author first reviewed the placer distribution and mining scale both abroad and at home, and introduced the current off-shore placer mining technology and system abroad. The mine in Bao-ding Sea was then analyzed in various aspects such as its general situa-tion, mine reserve, geological structure, marine hydrometeorology, mining technology and mining practicability. Based on these elaborated analysis and material flow, this thesis calculated the production and production period of the exploitation and proposed a practical system scheme.Schemes of offshore producing, mineral processing, pipeline transportation and tailing deposal were suggested by qualitative and quantitative analysis, in view of the technology of ocean engineering, waterway dredging and ocean mining. Considering the offshore exploi-tation standard, technical economics and equipment available at home, it is suggested that rougher concentrated by a combined heavy separation process of spiral concentration employed in the fire-suction ship on which placers are mined is shipped by dumping barges to the coast, and fined by another combined process of high intensity magnetic separation-wet process-magnetic electric joint separation, while the tailings are pipeline-transported to backfill the underground goafs.In addition, the author calculated the device type selection and experi-mented on offshore mining-processing that verified the practicability of the mining system above. Improvement suggestions for further experi-ments were put forward as well. This project will shine lights on the ex-ploitation of other similar mines in China.
