Studies On The Development And Application Of Damping And Sound Insulation Materials

Vibration and noise (i.e."NVH" means Noise&Vibration&Harshness) has the important influence with the comfortable of rail vehicles, automobiles and aircraft vehicle, also is an important factor to evaluate the environmental pollution of the vehicle. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection and vehicle’s comfort, vibration and noise control will be payed more and more attention. The demand of vibration and noise reduction technology is more and more urgent. So the development and application of damping material is one of the key technologies of anti-vibration and noise control.In this paper, the vehicle vibration and noise control technology was studied. And then, the technical measures, evaluation methods and regulation rules were discussed. After the basic theory of vibration and noise reduction material was introduced, the NVH function and engineering application of damping material, sound insulation material, sound absorption material were discussed. After research the prepraratin and characteristic of hot-molten damping material, damping property and temperature sensitivity had been improved based on SBS modified asphalt. When SBS is8phr, damping material had good damping performance and its loss factor would reach0.65. The oil resin also would improve the loss factor of material, but C9resin had better property than C5resin.After the sound insulation property and flame resistance of sound insulation material were also studied based on rubber/plastic material modified technology, PVC sound insulation material was developed. Sound insulation material based on NBR/PVC blending would have better acoustical property. Its translation loss would be increased1-3dB copared with PVC sound insulation material. The translation loss at mid-frequency and hi-frequency would be improved by increased surface density, but translation loss at low frequency would be decreased.In order to enlarge the width of temperature rang of the high damping performance, the two different of water based resins was blended and the influnence factor of water based damping coating performance was researched.At the "a domestic tractor cab vibration and noise reduction " project, damping materials, sound insulation materials and water-based damping coating were used in the cab based on the analysis and research on the noise and vibraition characteristic of the train cab. The test results show that the damping materials and sound insulation materials have good performance of vibriation decrease and anti-noise.
