Asphalt has good damping and adhesion properties, in this paper, it was used to prepared asphalt-based noise reduction composites with vermiculite and BaSO4 and steel slag powder(SSP)and waste rubber powder(WRT). fabric as reinforcing material to improve the mechanical properties of composite materials.Firstly, the polyvinyl chloride( PVC) modified Asphalt/vermiculite noise reduction composites was studied, the results show that: with the increase of vermiculite proportions, the sound insulation of composites was improved, especially at frequency above 1250 Hz, the tensile strength decreased, the limiting oxygen index increased, the loss factor peak and peak temperature range decreased. with the increase of vermiculite mesh, the sound insulation performance of the composites was decreased especially at frequency above 1250 Hz relatively obvious, the tensile strength of composites increased to a maximum when vermiculite mesh is 60 and then decreased, the limiting oxygen index decreased. sound insulation performance of the composites was decreased with the increasing surface density is mainly reflected in the frequency region of 200 to 2000 Hz. the improve of sound insulation below the mass-controlled law. the sound insulation of composites slightly reduced at frequency above 1250 Hz with Adding BaSO4 to composites, but the thickness of composites decreased at the similar surface density. Along with the increasing of BaSO4, the tensile strength of the composites decreased, the limiting oxygen index increased.Secondly, the performance of styrene butadiene styrene block copolymer(SBS) modified asphalt/steel slag powder noise reduction composite was studied, the results show that: with the increase of steel slag powder content, under the same surface density, sound insulation and flame resistance of composites increased but tensile strength decline, the peak of damping loss factor decreases, the peak temperature range increases, the peak and peak temperature range has a trend to move toward low temperature. Sound insulation of composite materials increased with the surface density increasing. In the range of surface density in this experiment, the composites sound insulation basically accord to mass-controlled law. The viscosity of SBS modified asphalt/steel slag powder noise reduction composites was improved with adding Waste rubber powder, at the same time, flame resistance and sound insulation properties of composites have weak decline.Finally, the performance of fabric reinforced asphalt based noise reduction composites was studied, the results show that: non-woven polyester can improve the sound insulation performance of noise reduction composites, and the mechanical properties of composites have greatly improved, especially SBS modified asphalt/steel slag powder noise reduction composites. the flame retardant of composites exhibit a slight decrease for the Non-woven polyester. glass-fiber fabric have good combination with SBS modified asphalt/steel slag powder composites, the composite exhibits excellent sound insulation properties. The mechanical properties of composite have a big improved on account of glass-fiber fabric.
