| Pyrolysis characteristics and kinetics of10kinds of representative tree leaves grown in MaoEr area of Heilongjiang province were studied by the thermogravimetric analysis. The analysis of TG-DTG curve of these fuels revealed their pyrolysis processes and pyrolysis parameters of quantitative comparison reflect the different plant fuel pyrolysis characteristics, and the relation was understood among lignin, hemicellulose and cellulose. Their activation energy and frequency factor were obtained by grading reaction kinetics model (Coats-Redfern method).All samples of pyrolysis under air atmosphere have three major stages, respectively water precipitation, fast pyrolysis, coking, fast pyrolysis is mainly of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin pyrolysis, fast pyrolysis stage is the main stage of thermal weightlessness, weight loss reached more than85%of the initial weight loss. In a nitrogen atmosphere, the pyrolysis process is the same, but the weight loss reached more than65%of the initial weight loss.By comparing the pyrolysis characteristic parameters, it can be seen that in air atmosphere under10kinds of leaves of fuel Pinus tabulaeformis Var.mukdensis and Pinus sylvestris L.var.mongolica Litv low initial decomposition temperature, intense with flame combustion, low ash content and volatile matter, suggesting that Pinus tabulaeformis Var.mukdensis and Pinus sylvestris L.var.mongolica Litv have good combustibility and poor fire resistance. Leaves of Larix gmelinii and Picea koraiensis is low or lowest in each index, flammability is poor, not violent, the ash content is more, it shows poor combustion and strong fire resistance, not easy to catch fire. Other fuel’s properties are between Pinus sylvestris L.var.mongolica Litv and Larix gmelinii. To Pinus sylvestris L.var.mongolica Litv and Pinus tabulaeformis Var.mukdensis under nitrogen atmosphere good combustibility, fire resistance is poor; Combustibility of Larix gmelinii and Picea koraiensis is poor, the fire resistance is strong, not easy to catch fire.The overall activation energy is used to indicate the difficulty of fuel pyrolysis reaction. From high to low, the flammability order of ten kinds of fuel in air atmosphere is:Pinus sylvestris L.var.mongolica Litv> Pinus tabulaeformis Var.mukdensis> Quercus mongolica> Larix algensis> Picea koraiensis> Ulmus par-vifolia> Betula platyphylla> Fraxinus mandshurica> Larix gmelinii> Juglans mandshurica.
