In recent years, industrialization boost in all walks of life, people’s life haveimproved gradually, as a result, original energy supply have can’t satisfied the growingenergy consumption, therefore, the nuclear energy is going to be main way for futureenergy. However, there are some problems exist in nuclear resource supply need to beresolved, the major factor that restrict nuclear energy supply are the shortage of nuclearresource and the environment pollution, so looking for and improving inexpensive, highefficiency, no secondary pollution methods to separate and enrichment uranium is theway to solve the problem, This study applied a feasible approach synthetic twomagnetic functional polymer to remove radioactive uranium ions [U(VI)],PAO/CMC/Fe3O4and CMC-COOH/Fe3O4, the two products be characterized byIR,TGA,VSM,XRD,SEM, the results inform these two compound materials havefavorable magnetism, thermal stability and uniform particle size. This study researched the adsorption capacities of two material in batch method, andinvestigated the effect of adsorption parameters, such as pH value, adsorbent dose, contact time, and temperature on U(VI) ions adsorption. In addition, reusable andinterference experiments also be made, The results showed that these two magneticpolymers have wonderful adsorption capacity for U(VI) ions, high adsorption ratio andcan be reused many times. The maximum adsorption capacity of PAO/CMC/Fe3O4andCMC-COOH/Fe3O4toward U(VI) were119.21mg/g and122.48mg/g respectively. Theadsorption equilibriums were reached within1h, the adsorption process kinetics andthermodynamic parameters were estimated. The pseudo-second-order model was found to be more suitable for this study. Experimental data showed an endothermic andspontaneous process. the significance of this study is that the raw materials areCMC,AN and AA, which are very cheap and accessible, reaction conditions moderateand products easy to separate, two adsorbents can be used many times after1M HNO3solution, from the economic and environmental perspectives, they are excellentmagnetic compound materials.
