Nature gas compressor station is veiy important to natural gas transmission pipeline system. China is in a period of high-speed construction of gas pipeline network system. In a safe, stable and efficient operation, compressor station will be beneficial to natural gas transportation. Once an accident occurs, it could have disastrous consequences. Risk assessment of gas compressor station, it will help to identify potential risks in operation, reduce the occurrence of accidents, enhance the ability of accident prediction, minimize the losses caused by the accident.At first, this paper identifies the risk sources of the natural gas compressor station. According to different functions, the compressor station is divided into7blocks which are process piping zone, compressor gas zone, valves of station zone, receive or send the pipeline pig zone, the cabinet zone, high-voltage substation zone and transform the frequency zone. This paper uses the method of fault tree analysis to establish the fault tree for each block, finds the minimal cut sets and gives some precautions. According to the actual situation, this paper uses the method of API581to calculate the failure probability of the process piping zone and compressor gas zone. On the basis of previous fault tree, by using AHP and expert scoring methods, to determine the weight of each factor, combining with the triangle fuzzy number, this paper has a comprehensive assessment of the remaining of the five blocks, then get the probability of failure of the entire compressor station. Secondly, this paper establishes an event tree of compressor stations fail leak consequences, with the actual a compressor station, it uses a comprehensive assessment to calculate the failure probability and severity of compressor stations fail leak consequences which are exploding, fireball, vapor cloud explosions, flash fire, suffocation and air pollution. Based on the fuzzy rule, this paper gets the risk index of each event and defuzzification, it concludes that once the leakage of natural gas compressor station failure occurs, the consequences of vapor cloud explosion generated the most serious. Then, the paper focuses on disaster simulation of jet fire, fireball fire and vapor cloud explosion, it calculates the damage radius of each consequences event, draws the relevant curve, So it can visually see the damage extent and scope of the each consequence. Finally, based on the risk assessment of the previous chapters, this paper researches on risk control of compressor station, mentions the problem which should be paid attention to and avoided in the design stage. It proposes that the natural gas compressor station should establish a complete HSE management system and improve the emergency plan, and conducted a detailed analysis. The integrity of HSE management system and emergency plan will provide the guarantee for the safe and reliable operation of natural gas compressor station.This paper completes the natural gas compressor station in risk assessment and establishes risk control system. It provides theoretical guidance and basis for decision making which will be beneficial to safety management of gas stations, risk control, risk management measures.
