In order to improve the rotary jet mixer mixing efficiency and the mixing effect, on the basis of the original rotary jet mixer, our research team has developed and manufactured an Omni-directional rotary jet mixer, which with a compact structure, compact size, easy to use, high mixing efficiency, better mixing effect, and low requirements for circulating pump. On the basis of the Omni-directional rotary jet mixer, This paper numerical simulation analyzed the three dimensional flow field both inside and outside of the Omni-directional rotary jet mixer, and investigated the mixer’s mixing effect, compared with the ordinary rotary jet mixer, and the results show that the Omni-directional rotary jet mixer mixing effect is far better than the ordinary one; The internal flow field simulation, comparative analyzed the mixer’s angle nozzle on the internal pressure field and velocity field, and some conclusions were drawn. The main contents of this paper are:Firstly,. we introduced the technology of preventing tank oil sludge subsidence, the theory of free submerged jets, the impingement and rotary jet mixer research status at home and abroad. Secondly, put forward our research and development and manufacture of omni-directional rotary jet mixer, the mixer system structure, working principle and its application advantages in detail, and the basic characteristics of impingement. This paper briefly introduces the numerical simulation of the basic theory, mainly including the control equation and its discrete method, turbulence model, meshing method, choice of boundary conditions and convergence of residual error Settings, and so on.Again, through the comprehensive rotary jet mixer is to simplify the flow field and modeling, the flow field under different exit speed is simulated, the omni-directional rotary jet mixer with ordinary rotary jet agitator tank bottom velocity, tank bottom pressure and turbulent kinetic energy at the tank bottom analysis comparison, the results show that the comprehensive rotary jet blender mixing effect is greatly superior to ordinary rotary jet mixer.Finally, the comprehensive internal flow field of rotary jet mixer full size model, adopt appropriate numerical calculation method for the flow field in numerical simulation of the Angle of agitator nozzle internal pressure and velocity are analyzed, for the nozzle provided a certain theoretical basis for structure optimization.
