In the process of coal production, mine hoisting system is the important equipment to lift and transport coal, personnel, gangue, materials and equipment, which becomes an important lifting equipment linking closely underground and ground. In the operation process of multi-rope vertical friction hoister, hoisting equipment may occur card-tank accidents. Card-tank accident causes the vibration of hoisting system, which seriously affect the normal production of mine. Therefore, the dynamic characteristics of the hoisting system were analyzed when the card-tank accident happen in this paper.In this paper, the dynamic model of friction hoisting system including tower five degrees of freedom and console seven degrees of freedom was established by using Lagrange method based on the uniform quality characteristics of steel wire rope. Based on above, established dynamic model under card-tank condition, consisting of three degrees of freedom with balance w rope as independent degrees of freedom and two degrees of freedom with equivalent balance rope quality to the load of tower friction hoisting system, five degrees of freedom with balance rope as independent degrees of freedom and four degrees of freedom with equivalent balance rope quality to the load of console friction hoisting system. Contrastive analysis of hoisting system dynamic characteristics, the balance rope quality equivalent to load was different from that of the balance rope as independent degrees of freedom.According to the above theory, vibration characteristics of vertical friction hoisting system was analyzed when card-tank accident happened under abnormal condition, combined with examples changing working speed and the position of card-tank. Comparatively analyzing the displacement, velocity, acceleration and wire rope dynamic tension of tower and of console friction hoisting system, obtained that the vibration of hoisting system is proportionate to the working speed and the effect of card-tank position on the vibration of hoisting system is complex.The kinematics simulation of tower friction hoisting system under card tank condition was carried out by the ADINA software. The influence of card-tank on longitudinal and transverse vibration and the maximum effective stress of steel wire rope was analyzed. Under the card tank condition, both longitudinal and transverse vibration of steel wire rope produced mutation, and the maximum effective stress of steel wire rope increased rapidly in a short time. The vibration of hoisting system was conducted in field test, the testing results in accordance with the simulation results of ADINA software.
