Automatic tension balance device of hoisting rope is an important link to connecthoisting rope and hoisting vessel in hoisting system, it is used to adjust the hoistingrope’s strain imbalance that caused by rope length difference or other causes in theprocess of operation at hoisting system. The method of theoretical analysis, computersimulation and experiment were adopted to study the running state of multi-ropehoisting frictional rope, tension and torque characteristics of hoisting frictional ropeand coupled motion characteristics of hoisting ropes. The structure of medium andside plate on automatic tension balance device of hoisting rope was optimizedadopting optimization theory.Firstly, in order to master roller friction wheel liner wear condition which haveinfluence on hoisting rope’s length in lowering or raising in the process of operation atshaft hoisting system, mathematical model of hoisting rope’s length in lowering orraising was established, and the condition of roller friction wheel linear wear wasdescribed by morphology function in fourier series form. Experiment system formorphology of roller friction wheel liner wear was designed in order to accuratelyexpress morphology function, and the morphology function expression of rollerfriction wheel linear was obtained by analyzing experimental date, based on whichhoisting rope’s length in lowing or raising in an hoisting circle was analyzed. Thisalso provide reference for the design of adjusted rope’s range in automatic tensionbalance device.Secondly, longitudinal motion model of hoisting frictional rope was established,and the theoretical analysis method about longitudinal tension of hoisting rope wasgiven. Torque expression of wire rope was obtained by using the coupling relationshipbetween tension and torque and the boundary condition of the researched system. Thetension and torque of wire rope was numerically calculated in different wearconditions using MathCAD package and experimental data, and reasons of theforming of tension and torque were analyzed.Then, the motion characteristics of multi-rope hoisting frictional rope wasanalyzed, and the simulation model of multi-rope hoisting frictional system wasestablished using AMESim package. Compare the result of simulation and theoretical,the reasons were analyzed. The experimental system for tension balance device was established, so the change of tension and torque of hoisting rope in process of workwas obtained by analyzing experimental data. The correctness of simulation andtheoretical model was verified by comparing the result of simulation and theoreticalanalysis.Finally, the medium and side plate on automatic tension balance device werechecked according to the numerical value, simulation and experimental analysis onhoisting rope’s longitudinal tension and torque. The mathematical model ofoptimization design on medium and side plate was established according to thestructure of medium and side plate and optimization design theory. The structure ofmedium and side plate was optimized using ANSYS workbench.
