Tunnels in dynamic pressure filed tend to deform when mining is underway andtherefore put a great threat to mining work safety. As the surrounding rock and stressstate of tunnels in dynamic pressure field are most complicated among all mine tunnels, and the serious deformation of surrounding rock as a result of fore bearing pressurefluctuations of coal surface, repeated repair are always needed and the supporting costare thus raised during the mining procedure.Being the main working mine of Fengfeng Group Co.,ltd, Yangdong Coal Minehas a ground elevation of+156m and people are now mining above-620m. As thereare not much left above this level, the tunnels are stretching as deep as-850m. Theconstructions of tunnels in this level are already in progress and6tunnels which arebetween-620m to-850m have seen no major deformation yet. However, those tunnelswill withstand immediate deformation once they are subjected to the dynamic pressureof mine surface. And also, mining between776m to1006m from ground level is whatis typically called deep mining, yet no detailed information on the characteristics oftunnel deformation caused by mining or the rules of overlying strata migration isacquired.Combined with the example of the gob-side entry retaining of8463miningsurface, the author of this paper uses theoretical analysis FLAC3D simulation and fieldexaminations in the study of the bearing pressure distribution of the mining surface, therules of overlying strata migration as well as the deformation characteristics and failuremechanisms of the dynamic pressure field. The results are of practical significance instabilizing the deep dynamic pressure field of Yang dong Coal Mine and provide Yangdong Coal Mine with elementary statistics and precious experiences in further researchof the gob-side entry retaining in mining without pillars and the feasibility of bearingpressure scheme.
