Poly-silicic-ferric (PSF) congulants,prepared by activated poly silicic acid andpolyferric sulfate,is a new type of efficient inorganic high molecular flocculant.Iron, asone of the main raw material,largely determines the performance and quality of PSF,butthat which iron source is the best has never been studied until now. Complex chemicalreactions occur while PSF is aging,and this is the biggest problem for practicalapplication of PSF.This paper mainly study the following questions.Four types PSF were prepared using four kinds of different iron sources(FeSO4·7H2O、Fe2(SO4)3、FeCl3·6H2O、PFS),we choosed SEM, Si-Mo and Fe-Ferroncomplexation timed spectrophtometric method to analyze PSF from different ironsources.Each component unit of PSF(FeSO4·7H2O) under SEM showedregularshapes,in the form of flakes or in similar forms,and they made many gaps.Theothers showed less gaps.These PSF congulants were used to treat acrylic fiberwastewate from the bioreactor.Comparingthe removal ratio of turbidity and CODcr,thegelatinization time and the cost,the experimental results show that the best iron sourcewas FeSO4·7H2O.This experiment probed the physical and chemical properties of PSF by SEM,Si-Mo and Fe-Ferron complexation timed spectrophtometric,particle size analysis,pHmeasurement,TEM and EXD,and found that when PSF was aging, polymerizationdegrees of Si and Fe rose,its anti-breaking capacity became weaker except natural-driedpowder,and polysilicic acid as the core, attracted iron compound to polymerize in thesurrounding to dewelope larger macromolecule.In this paper,the experimental water was acrylic fiber wastewate from thebioreactor.The preparation and reaction conditions were optimized.The influencingfactors of prepation included species of iron source and oxidant,Fe/Si and activationtime of poly silicic acid. When Fe/Si molar ratio was1.5, activation time was1h andthe oxidant was NaClO3,the preparation conditions achieved the best.When the pH ofthe treated water was4.24~7.32,dosage was6mmol/L and sedimentation time was10min,the removal rates of turbidity, DOC, TN, UV254and CODcrachieved thehighest,namely98.56%,35.29%,16.59%、54.23%and38.21%,the gelatinization time is13d.Scanning the wastewater before and after treatment,we find that every fluorescent peak decreases in different degree. PSF can futher treat Acrylic Fiber wastewater afterbiotreatment efficiently.
